Mari Stewart
Mari Stewart is a registered patent attorney with over two decades of experience counseling clients in patent and trademark matters.
Ms. Stewart excels in drafting patent and trademark applications, as well as navigating prosecution for clients across a variety of industries. She brings specific expertise to clients in oil and gas, aviation and computer science. During her career, Ms. Stewart has worked in various technology sectors, including biotech, e-commerce, IoT systems, virtual and augmented reality, natural language processing, AI, machine learning, lighting systems, emergency siren systems, manufacturing and networking.
Ms. Stewart began her career as an extern for the Federal Trade Commission in Dallas, Texas. She also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Jerry Buchmeyer, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Texas.
While earning her Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M University School of Law (formerly Wesleyan University School of Law), Ms. Stewart served as Notes and Comments Editor for the Law Review Board of Editors, as President of the Women Law Students’ Association and as Vice-President of the Intellectual Property Law Students’ Association.
Outside of work, Ms. Stewart enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid reader and movie buff. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, walking and bike riding. As a devoted animal lover, Ms. Stewart occasionally volunteers for a local animal rescue and has fostered many animals that were awaiting their forever homes.
